A senior structural engineering role at the point where a consultancy is building its core team. You’ll work directly with the director who leads the practice, delivering live schemes and helping set how the team designs and grows.
The practice
A growing, multidisciplinary engineering consultancy that sits within a large UK construction group. Its structural and civil work runs from early masterplanning through to construction, with specialist capability in post-tensioned concrete, precast and temporary works.
Current work
- A large student accommodation scheme at Stage 3
- A 230-unit residential scheme at Stage 2
What you’ll do
- Lead and deliver structural schemes, working directly with the director
- Set and maintain high technical and design delivery standards
- Contribute to the practice’s internal design standards and technical guidance
- Mentor, train and develop engineers as the team grows. A graduate engineer is planned to join after this appointment
What they’re looking for
- Chartered engineer, preferably MIStructE
- Strong technical fundamentals and a proven track record delivering complex structural projects
- Practical experience of project management and of mentoring junior engineers

- £55,000 to £80,000, depending on experience
