Structural Engineer

We are looking for a flexible Structural Engineer to support our Cities and Development, Energy and Defense clients around the UK in a range of exciting and unique design and construction projects.

Responsibilities

  • Contributing to the delivery of small to medium infrastructure projects as part of a technically focused design
  • Production of designs for projects in accordance with relevant design standards and codes
  • Ensuring the provision of efficient and high-quality engineering services, to a high level of quality assurance
  • Point of contact for clients, contractors, design team and third parties including architects
  • Offer support and guidance to more junior members of the team where necessary
  • Effectively manage own time

Requirements

Honours Degree in Civil or Structural Engineering preferred. Incorporated Engineer (ICE or IStructE) and/or working towards Chartership.

Established skill and delivery in:

  • The design of building structures using the conventional engineering materials (steel concrete, timber, masonry) to both British Standards and Eurocodes
  • Effective Conceptual design
  • Ability to use AutoCAD and structural analysis software (Robot and Fastrak). Revit experience is also desirable
  • Experience in, and a desire to, collaborate within a technically orientated and technically focused team
  • Experience in the Cities and Development market (including commercial, residential and education)
  • Experience of working in the Defense market (preferred dependent on level of overall experience)
  • Experience of working on multi-discipline projects (preferred, depending on level of overall experience)
  • Sound commercial awareness and project management skills
